PicSafe is built around one privacy boundary: your media is handled on the device you control. The app can access the items you choose to import, encrypts them locally, and does not collect analytics, advertising profiles, or vault contents.

No cloud account

PicSafe has no sign-up flow and no server account. The vault lives in the app's private storage on your phone.

Encrypted at rest

Imported media is written as encrypted .crypt files with a vault key protected by your password or Android biometrics.

You choose backups

Backup files are encrypted exports that you save wherever you decide. PicSafe does not upload or sync them.

Camera stays local

Camera access is used for recovery QR scanning. Frames are decoded on device and are not stored or transmitted.
